Positive: Tania's country house is exactly what it says. The perfect country escape if that's what you are looking for. It's piecefull and quite around, it almost feels like you are in the middle of nowhere to enjoy the silence and birds singing. Yet, the property is located 100 yards from the main road and all the amenities one might need such as shops, pharmacy, local cafes and bars. There's a pleasant market happening on Wednesdays with fresh fruit and veg locally sourced too. There's plenty of historical landmarks, museum etc within short driving distance. The property itself is well presented, very clean and supplied with coffee and coffee machine, hair dryer, iron, toiletries even laundry liquid for your. Spare towels and bedding conveniently stored at a cupboard, should you need any. The hosts are great too, very welcoming and friendly. They speak English and since they live next door, it's hassle free to ask them anything, directions or recommendations for the local amenities. They are very accommodating at any additional requests you might have. In short, I would highly recommend Tania's country house whether you need a piecefull country escape or still visiting a the overcrowded beaches during the day, it's a win win from both worlds to me.
Negative: This is a positive for me and the reason why I chose Tania's country house but it's worth mentioning as a fact for people who would be going to a beach every day. It's about 20 minutes drive each way. I personally don't like to stay in the hassle and bustle of the tourists beach location like Paralia Ofrinio (which is the closest beach) so I prefer the short drive to the beach and back but I love my stay at the property to be piecefull and not noisy of the constant flow of many people outside the street at all times. That way I still benefit from a seaside vacation but my time in the craziness of busy season is far enough for me to enjoy a country escape for the rest of the day.
