Summary: The hotel is well kept and exactly as shown in the pictures. It is very clean and well presented. However, that is where the 5* elements of the hotel end. It is a shame as the hotel has all the foundations to be a good 5* but is lacking in execution. Our main issues where: 1) food quality 2) no snacks or bottled water during the day or food being available generally after 9:30 3) lack of access to the amazing beaches of Corfu 4) Missing the final touches of true 5* hotels. The food quality is average at best and in the main restaurant, which you have to eat at most nights, it is more like school dinners than luxury food. Whilst the concept of ordering à la carte via an app is a good idea it is not executed well due to the food quality. We have read a few similar reviews saying the same thing and the hotel seems to respond suggesting the guests issues is the à la carte service. If the hotel wants to improve and retain customers it needs to improve the food quality rather than missing the point of negative reviews. We appreciate that the hotel cannot do anything about its location (which does provide stunning Mountain View’s). However, a shuttle bus to a nearby beach would improve experience given Corfu’s beauty. Other remote 5* (even 4*) provide this. Generally, our experience was that the hotel was trying to save pennies rather than providing a 5* experience. In particular this felt like full board rather than all inclusive given the lack of food outside meal times.
